Privacy Policy
This is the current version of Kinetic's Privacy Policy. The most up-to-date version is always available within the app and at kineticaicoach.com/privacy.
Who we are
Kinetic is a fitness, nutrition, and coaching application. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Account information — your name, email address, date of birth, and any profile details you choose to provide (height, weight, fitness goals, dietary preferences, training history).
Health and fitness data — workouts you log (including the sets, reps and weights you record and the personal records they produce), body metrics you record, photos you take of your progress, and data from connected wearables (Apple Health, fitness trackers) if you grant permission.
Usage data — basic information about how you use the app, such as features accessed and crash reports, used to improve product quality.
Photos and media — progress photos are stored on your device by default. Cloud sync is optional and clearly marked.
Sharing — when you share a card or clip, the image or video goes straight from your device to the app you choose; we do not upload it. We record that a share happened (the kind of moment, the destination app, and your invite code) so we can count shares and credit invites. Suggested caption text is provided by Kinetic and may be updated without an app update; it does not use any data beyond what is shown on the card.
Invite links — when someone opens your invite link on the web, we store a one-way, salted hash of a shortened form of their network address combined with their browser type, so each visitor is counted once per day and abuse is limited. We do not store the address itself.
Coaches — if you connect with a coach, you choose what that coach can see (for example workouts, nutrition, progress or body metrics), and you can change this at any time. A coach can post your wins (for example a personal record) on social media only if you turn on Coach may post my wins on social. It is off by default, you can turn it off at any time, and your progress photos are never used.
How we use your information
- To provide the app's core features (training plans, AI coaching, nutrition tracking)
- To personalise recommendations and AI-generated content
- To sync your data across your devices when you sign in
- To respond to your support requests
- To improve our services and fix problems
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your fitness or health data with advertisers.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time from within the app under Settings → Privacy Settings. You can delete your entire account from Settings → Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent.
Children
Kinetic is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
